Founder: Wings is a member of Oak and Willow coven of The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. When she first was drawn to Paganism and Wicca, she didn't know where to go to find others of like mind, but she knew that other cities had websites listing their local Pagan activities. She decided that Philadelphia needed one too, and determined to create The Broom Closet. Drawing on her HTML experience, she set out to build the site, and contacted some Pagan friends who she thought might be interested in the project. The rest, as they say, is history. In mundane life she is a civil servant and student of computer networking and the web, or, as she likes to say, an apprentice geek.

The Broom Closet's graphics were co-designed and wholly hand-executed by Brian Pysell. Concepts for the designs were co-developed with Wings, and drawn by Brian, then scanned into the computer and converted to gifs. The cauldron and broom logo was rendered using computer graphics, also by Brian.
